My name is Dave. I review tabletop roleplaying games on YouTube. I am focused on third-party and independent RPGs regardless of subgenre, which leaves a lot of the RPG world wide open for me to explore.  Hopefully in my journey I'm able to shed some light on RPGs that might not otherwise be discovered. We're in a golden age of roleplaying games, which is great, but it also means a lot of awesome stuff will get overlooked in the deluge. (Etymology: From Ancient Greek θαῦμα (thaûma, “magic”) + Latin vorare(“to devour”) I’m an eater of magical things, mostly which come in the form of the incredible creations and ideas that people are sharing through their RPGs every day. I shamelessly use that magical energy to weave my review videos, hoping to add something new and novel to the vast ether. I am trying to connect with my viewers, and that primarily comes through YouTube and newsletter comments, as well as Discord. The Discord has especially been a great place for discussions onthe theory, design, marketing, running and playing of RPGs. The main point of this Discord is to have the satisfaction that you're supporting a mission to spread indie and 3rd party RPGs. But also to chat with myself and some briliant minds on Discord. Hopefully I can also connect like-minded RPG fans to each other and create new opportunities of creativity in the game-making space.
